My world turned the night I first
saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. I thought that's what I want to
do, so I did it! After all "What's a poor boy to do 'cept sing and play
in a Rock-n-Roll band." Music has always been an intregal part of my life,
getting me through: art school (paid for it), personal crisis (kept me
reasonably sane/ I think so anyway!) and even the perils of the music business
itself (whoa!) Along the way I've been fortunate enough to meet and learn
from many excellent musicians and generally fine people.
While I appreciate music in all its forms, I tend to favor the Beatles, Byrds, Who, Stones, Led Zeppelin and folk music as main influences. Some folks believe I have a serious guitar addiction. I don't see it myself - every guitar has its own distinct personality and style. I just like to have choices, mostly Rickenbacher, Fender, Gibson/Epiphone. With Tumbling Dice the mix is right on target i.e. MUSIC FOR MUSIC'S SAKE, PERIOD! |
