The first time someone announced
" and playing lead guitar is Sean Crum!" , I knew that I wanted to play
in a band for the rest of my life. I was only 19 and was playing
in a rock band in Colorado that only lasted that one gig. But
I felt such pride that I knew then and there it wasn't going to be the
last time I played out. I would continue playing on and off in rock bands
for 35 years. I always loved guitar. Our family had an accoustic
Martin which I picked up when I was about 12 years old. I took a few lessons
and then let it slip till I was 16. That's when I got my first
electric guitar and from then on I was turned on for good. My first
big band was the Westlake based rock group "Lizard". We played for
nearly 2 years and had good success in Cleveland. After playing with
"Virgin Dwarf" my visual art
obssessions took over. I took up music again in the mid 80's with
the OCR band and in the 90's fellow OCR bassist Mark Bluhm and myself formed"Tumbling
Dice".
My greatest influences are Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, and Jimi Hendrix. My favorite bands are: THE BEATLES, THE ROLLING STONES, THE JEFFERSON AIRPLANE, JETHRO TULL, THE BYRDS, KING CRIMSON, AND U2. My amp is a Fender 40 watt Hotrod Deluxe. My guitars of choice are a Gibson SG Standard, a Fender Stratocaster, and a Rickenbacher 330/12 string. |
